9th January 2025
Broadband provider LightSpeed is DOUBLING available speeds with up to 2Gbps packages
Approximately 4,500 homes and businesses in Blythe Bridge can now benefit from Gigabit broadband speeds thanks to broadband provider LightSpeed, in an effort to increase internet connection quality in the county's underserved areas.
The arrival of the broadband provider in Blythe Bridge marks a significant development in internet speeds available to residents. Up until now, households in the area have been able to access internet speeds of up to 1Gbps, according to comparison site BroadbandExposed. LightSpeed’s upgrades will see speeds on offer double up to 2Gbps – AKA 2 Gigabit broadband.
The expansion into Blythe Bridge marks LightSpeed’s first launch in Staffordshire to bolster Gigabit broadband coverage in the county’s underserved towns and villages.
With prices starting from £25.99, customers can choose from a range of packages that best suit their internet usage.
Alongside broadband offerings, LightSpeed also has home security products available to help residents increase the safety of their properties for peace of mind with partner SimpliSafe. Additionally, residents can upgrade landline phones to the provider’s Digital Voice product ahead of the landline switch-off set for early 2027.
Brett Shepherd, CEO at LightSpeed, says: “We’re delighted to be serving Blythe Bridge with ultra-fast broadband speeds that will be a game-changer for many people. From busy households to up-and-coming businesses, we provide customers with the ultimate experience of a smooth and seamless internet connection.
“With new possibilities unlocked, we can’t wait to welcome the first Blythe Bridge customers to enjoy the speedy digital connectivity they deserve.”
