LightSpeed Broadband – Echo Dot Prize Draw and 1Gb Broadband Offer Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms and Conditions cover two separate promotional offers:
Echo Dot Prize Draw: Available to all new LightSpeed Broadband customers who place an order for any residential broadband package and meet the prize draw entry criteria.
1.2 These terms should be read alongside LightSpeed’s standard Residential Terms & Conditions. In case of a conflict, these promotional terms take precedence.
1.3 Leased broadband equipment will be provided as part of the installation and must be returned upon contract termination. Unreturned equipment may incur a charge.
1.4 Standard installation is free with all 24-month plans. Bespoke installations (e.g., long driveway digs) may incur additional charges, which will be quoted after a survey. Customers may cancel if they do not accept these charges.
2. Echo Dot Prize Draw Terms Eligibility
2.1 Open to new LightSpeed Broadband residential customers only.
2.2 No entries from agents or third parties.
2.3 Evidence of age, identity, and eligibility may be required.
2.4 If you cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you must return equipment in its original condition and packaging.
3. Entry Mechanism
3.1 The prize draw opens at 9am on 7th May 2025 and closes at 5pm on 31st May 2025.
3.2 To enter, place any broadband order with LightSpeed.
3.3 No alternative entry methods are available.
4. Prize Details
4.1 100 winners will each receive an Amazon Echo Dot (5th Generation).
4.2 No cash or alternative prizes are available.
4.3 Prizes are subject to any terms set by the supplier.
4.4 Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes.
5. Winner Selection & Notification
5.1 Winners will be selected by a random computer-generated draw after the closing date.
5.2 Winners will be notified via phone or email within 7 days.
5.3 If a winner does not respond within 2 days, a new winner will be chosen.
6. Publication of Winners
6.1 The surname and county of winners may be obtained by emailing [email protected] or writing to LightSpeed Marketing Team, LightSpeed Broadband Limited, Office 2b, Westpoint, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, United Kingdom, PE2 6FZ within one month after the closing date (subject to the winner’s rights under data protection laws).
6.2 The winner may be asked to participate in reasonable publicity connected with the prize draw and any participation will not be paid for.

7. Restrictions and requirements
7.1. Advertised prices are only applicable to new LightSpeed Broadband customers placing orders for 1Gb (1000Mbps) & 2Gb (2000Mbps) broadband plans, applicable only to residential properties within the promotional period described below.
7.2. These terms and conditions are intended to be read in addition to the LightSpeed’s Residential T&Cs. In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and our Residential T&Cs, these Terms and Conditions will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
7.3. We will be providing you with leased broadband equipment as part of the installation which you will need to return to us in accordance with our T&Cs on termination of the contract between us. If you fail to return the equipment to us, we are entitled to charge you for the cost of such equipment in accordance with our T&Cs.
7.4. We will charge £5 (Normally £30) for standard installation of the broadband if you sign up for any of the 24 months plan.
7.5. If bespoke installation is required, such as digging longer than usual drives to install the fibres, then further charges are payable which we shall quote once we have undertaken a survey. You will have a chance to cancel your order if you do not agree to these further charges.
7.6. Your contract will start on the day our services are activated. The offer applied will be as the below:
1,000Mbps price is £34.99 per month with a £40 Amazon voucher
2,000Mbps price is £49.99 per month with a £50 Amazon voucher
7.7. Customer is eligible to receive the Amazon gift card at the end of their cooling off period.
8. Start and closing dates
8.1. This promotion runs from 7th May 2025 to 31st May 2025 (‘Promotional Period’). We may end the promotion before this time at our discretion.
9. Detail of offer
9.1. You need to be a new LightSpeed Broadband customer, and eligible properties only.
9.2. Activation fee is £5 for this offer on 1Gb (1000Mbps) & 2Gb (2000Mbps) broadband plans, normally worth £30.
9.3. If the broadband contract continues to run for monthly periods beyond the 24-month minimum term, the price per month (from month 25) will revert to the list price advertised for existing customers at that point in time. As at the date of these Terms and Conditions (7th May 2025), the list prices are as follows:
1,000Mbps standard price is £39.99 per month
2,000Mbps standard price is £65.99 per month
10. Eligibility
10.1. If you cancel within 14 days of signing the contract with LightSpeed Broadband, you will need return our equipment in good condition (in its original packaging).
11. General
11.1. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw them at any time with or without notice.
11.2. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
11.4. An active Direct Debit is required for the full duration of contract and an install date must be selected to be eligible for this promotion.
11.3 This offer cannot be combined with other promotions.
12. General Terms
12.1 The Promoter is LightSpeed Broadband Limited (company number 12487672), Office 2b, Westpoint, Lynch Wood, Peterborough, United Kingdom, PE2 6FZ.
12.2 The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend, or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so, including in the event of circumstances outside of the Promoter’s control.
12.3 If for any reason a technical interruption, fault or site failure occurs when entering the prize draw online, the Promoter does not take any responsibility for incomplete entries and any incomplete entries will not be considered valid for entry into the prize draw. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not completed for any reason.
12.4 Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
12.5 These terms and conditions and this promotion are governed by English law. If any entrants to this promotion wish to take court proceedings, then they must do this within the courts in the United Kingdom.
12.6 The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
12.7 The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry, or refuse to award the prizes to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
13. Your Privacy
13.1 Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will only be processed as set out in the Promoter's Privacy Policy which is available here.
13.2 The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promoter will send the surname and county of major prize winners and, if applicable copies of their winning entries, to anyone who follows the process at clause 9.1. If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter by emailing [email protected]. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
14. Brand Protection
14.1 The winner and entrants must not do anything which could, in the reasonable opinion of the Promoter, bring the Promoter, its group companies or agents into disrepute before, during or after this prize draw.
