LightSpeed Group launches LightSpeed Networks brand with Wholesale offering
16th September 2024
Altnet LightSpeed Group has launched wholesale offerings under new brand LightSpeed Networks
Following the ISP’s success in bringing Gigabit internet to underserved communities, LightSpeed Networks will lead the charge in expanding LightSpeed’s own network and providing wholesale offerings for partners that range from 100Mbps to 100Gbps.
The brand officially launched at Connected Britain on 11th September, the UK’s biggest digital economy event.
Carrier grade transit connectivity and the addition of third party ISPs to the LightSpeed network are on the cards for partners, all at competitive prices.

Altnet LightSpeed Group has launched LightSpeed Networks, the company’s build and wholesale brand, following Connected Britain.
On 11th-12th September, LightSpeed Networks joined 7,500 other industry experts in showcasing the future digital landscape at the UK’s leading digital economy event.
The move sees LightSpeed Group split into two distinct brands:
LightSpeed: The ISP providing access for homes and businesses to Gigabit broadband across the East of England and West Midlands
LightSpeed Networks: Expanding the group’s full fibre connectivity across existing and new areas, and the provider of wholesale connections to partners
LightSpeed Networks aims to supercharge the East of England and Midlands with award-winning, carrier-grade connectivity. The network will serve around 350,000 homes by the end of 2025 across six regions and 54 towns. The company is currently building in multiple locations including Norwich, Wolverhampton and Tamworth.
Designed to empower Telcos, government bodies, enterprise partners and resellers with solutions to transform connectivity and drive innovation, users of the LightSpeed network will benefit from meaningful differentiation in the marketplace.
A dedicated team of specialists are already working with local authorities and councils to accelerate ambitious growth plans, while engineers deploy infrastructure, maintain connections and monitor performance to ensure consumers and businesses alike benefit from the best experience possible.
Partners joining LightSpeed’s carrier Network will have the choice of either 10Gb or 100Gb network options and lightning-fast Ethernet or wavelength connections, with no wait time.
Third-party ISPs joining the network will be able to benefit from a range of consumer services ranging from 100Mbps to 2Gbps.
LightSpeed Group CEO Brett Shepherd commented:
“We’re delighted to have launched LightSpeed Networks at Connected Britain this month, discussing all things broadband with likeminded telecoms innovators.
“Our mission is to empower homes, businesses, and communities with flexible, high-quality broadband infrastructure. By building partnerships based on shared goals, we aim to push the boundaries of technology and unlock new opportunities for everyone.”
