LightSpeed Broadband - Broadband Contract Buy-Out
1. Restrictions and requirements
1.1. Advertised prices are only applicable to new LightSpeed Broadband customers placing orders for 150Mpbs, 500Mbps, 1Gb (1000Mbps), 2Gb (2000Mbps) broadband plan, applicable only to residential properties within the promotional period described below.
1.2. These terms and conditions are intended to be read in addition to the LightSpeed’s Residential T&Cs. In case of conflict between these Terms and Conditions and our Residential T&Cs, these Terms and Conditions will prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
1.3. We will be providing you with leased broadband equipment as part of the installation which you will need to return to us in accordance with our T&Cs on termination of the contract between us. If you fail to return the equipment to us, we are entitled to charge you for the cost of such equipment in accordance with our T&Cs.
1.4. If bespoke installation is required, such as digging longer than usual drives to install the fibres, then further charges are payable which we shall quote once we have undertaken a survey. You will have a chance to cancel your order if you do not agree to these further charges.
2. Start and closing dates
2.1. The Contract Buy-Out promotion runs from 2 September to 2 October 2024 (‘Promotional Period’). We may end the promotion before this time at our discretion.
3. Detail of offer
3.1 Where you are in the minimum term of your agreement with another provider when you enter into a 24-month minimum term agreement with us, and you are entitled to terminate the agreement with the other provider in accordance with its terms, we will provide you with a refund or part refund of payment of your first bill, in accordance with the following:
3.1.1 LightSpeed will provide a contract payment contribution for a value of up to £250.
3.2 In order to apply for the refund in clause 3.1, you must provide us with the final bill you received from your existing provider no later than 7 days after you're activated. The bill must include:
3.2.1 the early termination costs for terminating that agreement before the end of the agreement’s minimum term;
3.2.2 the same name and address as the name and address on your LightSpeed subscription (shown on your account).
3.3 Where we determine that you are entitled to the refund, we will provide the refund when the following has occurred: (a) your Activation Date has occurred; (b) you have paid your first bill with us; and (c) you have an active direct debit mandate to us.
4. Eligibility
4.1. If you cancel within 14 days of signing the contract with LightSpeed Broadband, you will need return our equipment in good condition (in its original packaging).
5. General
5.1. We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions and/or withdraw them at any time with or without notice.
5.2. The Contract Buy-Out promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.
5.3. LightSpeed Broadband reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute this Contract Buy-Out promotion of equal or greater value or not replace it at all.
5.4. An active Direct Debit is required for the full duration of contract and an install date must be selected to be eligible for this promotion.
